We would like to share a very humbling experience.
In November 2013 - The Carl Herbert family contacted us and wanted to know if we wanted the Berglund boat that was in their family for almost 60 years. This boat was featured in the 1954 Chicago Boat Show. During all the years Carl owned it, his family boated pulling their young water skiers and spent nearly every weekend on the water. Three generations of the Herbert family shared their memories with us recently and we are so grateful for their time. Granting us the opportunity to restore a piece of history from my Dad's early boat building days, will always be a family treasure. A special thanks to Carl's grandson Bill Herbert, he helped make all of this possible.
This boat has brought our two families together, thank you Carl. Your generous spirit was humbling.
It was simply a labor of love to preserve a boat with such a rich history.
The pictures on the slideshow represent the great pleasure this project has brought to our family & friends.
We are looking forward to it's first splash....
